Panicked, Valkyrie shuffled to get out of the situation but found out that the Northstar-type Titan had switched to automated countermeasures, which would fire upon the perceived hostiles. Some of the crew in those ships recognized Viper’s modified “Apex Titan” and decided to take the opportunity to take out an Apex Predator. Kairi pretended the signals were jammed in order to avoid Viper’s scolding and took to the skies as high as she could, only to find herself in the middle of an aircraft battle. Of course, Viper immediately noticed his Titan was online without him piloting it and realized Valkyrie was the one who stole it from the barn it was kept in. One day, while daddy Viper wasn’t looking, Kairi decided to take the Northstar and fly around by herself. He was also the man who took her father away on dangerous missions every time he showed up. Knowing that Blisk was her dad’s boss, Valkyrie slowly started to understand that Blisk was the man to be convinced if she was to prove her worth as a Pilot. Valkyrie would frequently see her father leave with a man named Blisk. Her interest in becoming a Titan Pilot was obvious enough for Viper to sternly tell her that she should never fly in one of those “death traps.” This, as it would do with any other kid, pushed Valkyrie even further into wanting to become a Pilot and prove herself.
Tasting the sky at a very early age, Kairi-who would pick the callsign Valkyrie later in her life-became infatuated with Titans and being a Pilot. Valkyrie’s childhood dream was to be a cool Pilot like her father, who occasionally took her with him on safe flights in his modified Northstar-type Titan. All she knew was that he was one of the best Pilots in the galaxy, and he was very cool. Valkyrie grew up feeling great respect and admiration towards her father, unaware of the work he performed as an Apex Predator. She was the daughter of Viper, an infamous mercenary who was a member of Kuben Blisk’s mercenary group Apex Predators.
